Issues
Security for file servers have become a major issue to many companies and services. Some threatening elements of the Internet are:
- Cookies- are small pieces of codes that allow web authors to interrogate an end user’s computer. They are used to end personalized content to a clients computer but may not have a very innocent cause when are used to gain unlawful information about users’ computer data. This can be prevented by using incognito mode or private browsing
- Proxy servers- detrimental to companies where the client viewing the page hides there true address so that the company is unaware of the locality of the source. Hence, the client may damage the company’s reputation or steal technical information going unnoticed.
- Virus- Computer viruses are small software programs that are designed to spread from one computer to another and to interfere with computer operation. A computer virus might corrupt or delete data on your computer, use your email program to spread itself to other computers, or even erase everything on your hard disk. Computer viruses are often spread by attachments in email messages or instant messaging messages.
